Slow Roll WSTR
Slow Roll is a global movement of social justice cyclists, connecting a diverse group of people across lines of race, income, ethnicity, and neighborhood, transforming lives and improving the condition of communities. We do this by organizing bicycle rides and advocating for bicycle equity. We envision bicycles as a form of economical, effective, and empowering transportation, reducing violence, improving health and well-being, creating jobs, making our neighborhoods more livable, and providing an alternative to car culture.
Founded in Detroit, other Slow Roll cities include Buffalo, Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis, Washington D.C., Berlin, and Stockholm. Everywhere it goes, Slow Roll serves as a grassroots engine for democracy and community building. Our rides engender civic participation and cultural vibrancy. Slow Roll improves the quality of life for cyclists but reaches out far beyond the riders and touches every community in the city.
Worcester Earn-A-Bike is bringing Slow Roll to Worcester. The second Saturday of every month, Worcesterites from all backgrounds will congregate and ride together, making friends, building bonds, and exploring our city together.
