We are a non-profit community bicycle shop dedicated to teaching people bicycle maintenance while enabling them to earn a bike from our inventroy of donated bicycles.

Our mission is to promote and carry out education programs to facilitate bicyle use, repair and rehabilitation for the improved health and well-being of the community, to teach fun, affordable bike repair to neighborhood youth and community members by providing tools, instruction, and repairable bikes and parts. We engourage bike riding as an empowering, economical, and healthy alternative to car culture.

Empowering Youth

For youth, Worcester Earn-a-Bike is more than just a community bike shop, it’s a place they can feel safe, empowered, supported, and welcome.

Jay is about 12 years old and brought a friend to the Shop. His friend needed to fix his tire and had never been to the Shop. Jay showed him around and guided his friend through the process. He showed him how the different tools work as they fixed his tire. As they were ready to head outside to test their work, Jay’s friend said “We’re so lucky to have a place like this. I love it here.”
